Injection Molding Machines

The Industry’s Leading Injection Molding Seals

For years, System Seals has partnered with some of the largest injection molding companies in North America designing and producing seals for both OEM and maintenance and repair customers. System Seals’ injection molding machine seal products have become so reliable in the OEM market that customers of OEM equipment have started requesting that System Seals products be included in their new orders.

For maintenance and repair on injection molding machines, System Seals can custom design seals that substantially outperform standard replacement parts. In fact, System Seals has even developed modified designs that fit better on older injection molding equipment with worn components.

System Seals’ custom solutions for injection molding equipment include seals for:

  • Main Ram Cylinders
  • Clamping Cylinders
  • Pull-Back Cylinders
  • Rapid Traverse Cylinders
  • Injection Unit Cylinders
  • Composite Platen Bushings

With two decades in the fluid power industry, Ron Claus has led the System Seals engineering team to develop a number of product breakthroughs in industries that include mining, metal processing, wind energy and oil & gas.

He was instrumental in the development of OEM seals for the injection molding industry that quadrupled the life of the seal and allowed the manufacturer to extend the warranty period. He also developed a cutting-edge bearing seal for the world’s largest manufacturer of farm equipment that forever changed the performance expectations for severely contaminated conditions.

With a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, Ron has published and presented several technical articles. He has continued his education in the United States and in Germany and has been co-awarded a U.S. patent for a specialty seal used in confined spaces.

Through a uniquely collaborative process, Ron partners with OEMs and product engineers to develop advanced seal technologies specific to their application that improve performance and reliability well beyond existing products.

Ron’s innate ability to solve complex problems has made him the industry’s go-to person for engineering proposals, technical calculations, failure analysis and custom sealing solutions. Most importantly, Ron is accessible to any customer looking to advance seal performance beyond an off-the-shelf solution.
