Chris Hetman has been a design and application engineer at System Seals for more than 20 years. Before joining System Seals, he gained a wealth of field knowledge working in the crane and shovel industry, where he operated boom truck cranes.
At System Seals, Chris focuses his design attention on forging and extrusion applications, steel mills in Europe and other heavy industry applications. He has designed advanced-seal technology for some of the largest forging mills in the world and continues to seek new ways to increase productivity for AGCs and bending balance cylinders in steel mills.
By nature, Chris enjoys solving problems that were previously considered unsolvable, such as preventing oil leaks and extending V-packing lifespans in aging forging presses.
In his free time, Chris enjoys running, mountain biking and collecting vintage mechanical watches.
